SUNDAY, August 1, 1999
5:00-8:00 p.m. Welcome Reception. All are invited to register and get acquainted. Enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in the Grand Ballroom of the Doubletree Hotel.
MONDAY, August 2, 1999
All day The first full day of the Summer meeting can be spent exploring the museums and sights of San Diego, or relax in the pool area of the Doubletree Hotel. Take the San Diego Trolley to Old Town State Park to pick up the San Diego Transit Trolley to take a tour of the city, or stay and shop the wide array of shops in Old Town State Park.
6:00 p.m. Picnic on the Beach. Enjoy an outdoor barbecue and games, and watch the sunset on the beach. A $16.00 fee.
TUESDAY, August 3, 1999
All day Take the San Diego Trolley to the next stop where you can shop till you drop at the Fashion Valley Mall. It includes shops such as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, and many more. Finish the rest of the afternoon by taking the Trolley to Seaport Village to enjoy more shopping on the waterfront in downtown San Diego.
6:30-8:30 p.m. Dinner at the Bali Hai on Shelter Island. $30.00 fee and advance reservations for dinner will be required.
8:30 p.m. Evening cruise. Come along for a 2-hour cruise of the bay and enjoy the warm summer nights of San Diego. $14.00 fee and advance reservations also required for the cruise.
WEDNESDAY, August 4, 1999
All day Enjoy the day at either Balboa Park or at the beaches of San Diego. One suggestion might to explore the museums in Balboa.
6:30 p.m. Explore the wide range of culinary cuisine in San Diego. Spend some time with new or old friends, or enjoy an evening with the family.
THURSDAY, August 5, 1999
All day For the last day, do whatever you enjoyed the most during the week. Take advantage of the extra day.
